Hotel magazines and travel articles are all talking about the latest trend – food tours on farms. Agritourism, farm to market dining, and rural experiences are all the rage.
Guess what! Retreat Centers at camp can be a high end experience at an affordable price!
It is ironic that guests at some of the most expensive properties around the world are paying incredible amounts of money to experience what is ubiquitous at many retreat centers – farms and gardens! Since many summer programs now offer extensive environmental education through farming and animal care, the pleasure of digging in the ground and learning about fresh food is available year round in many places.
The outdoor team, which are a key element in the building of most good summer programs, will be more than happy to work with groups who want to experience hands-on learning outside. Retreat Centers are, by design, places to learn, places to experience the outdoors, and places to build lasting memories for everyone who comes to visit.
