The Whispering Pines Conference Center is located at the W. Alton Jones Campus, University of Rhode Island. It is easy to find us; we are just off of exit 5B on Route 95 and only 25 minutes from the T.F. Green Airport. We are located in West Greenwich Rhode Island on 2,300 acres of forests, lakes and streams.Overnight accommodations are comfortable and inviting. Most guest rooms have full size (double beds) in the rooms. 30 of our 32 rooms have private bathrooms inside their room. All rooms have flat screen televisions with cable programming that are mounted on the wall, a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, telephone, and high speed wireless internet offered complimentary to our guests.Meals are always eagerly anticipated at Whispering Pines. There reason why is that most of our menus are inspired by Bon Appetite Magazine. We serve all meals buffet style in our beautiful dining room. We have 3 beautiful living rooms where your guests can sit and relax and enjoy each other’s company. They are located in the Whispering Pines main lodge, Sycamore lodge, and the Nettles lodge.We have abundant hiking trails on our 2,300 acres of forests, our walking paths are wide and comfortable, our recreation area offers: court basketball, volleyball court, bocce lawn, croquet lawn and horseshoe pits. In addition we have canoes available on Lake Eisenhower for our guests to enjoy.One of our most interesting features is our circle of 20 Adirondack chairs around the campfire area at the foot of Lake Eisenhower. We provide marshmallow, graham cracker, and Hershey bars to complete this nostalgic tradition of S’mores by the campfire each evening.
