Friendly Crossways is a family owned retreat center & outdoor wedding venue conveniently located in the rural town of Harvard, only 30 miles northwest of Boston. The building, a more than 100-year old farm house with adjoining carriage house and barn, is situated on four acres of lawn and surrounded by 40 acres of organic gardens and orchards, forest and corn fields. A ‘cathedral in the pines’ style glade is used for outdoor wedding ceremonies, and there is a large fire circle. The carriage house holds a dining hall that seats 62 (with fire place), dorm lodging on the second floor, and kitchen for self-catering. Our chef-owner will be happy to cater for your event, using her own award winning fruits, vegetables and honey produced on the farm. The barn includes 24′ x 36′ meeting space, and double occupancy rooms, for a total of 62 beds. There is ample parking on and near our retreat center and wifi throughout. The first floor is wheel chair accessible, including lodging, kitchen, dining hall, toilet and shower.
