Campers gathered around a retreat campfireOften times when imagining a retreat at a camp, one of the first things to come to mind is a campfire. There is something nostalgic for many about being at a camp, sitting around a campfire, singing songs and roasting marshmallows.  When you take a group to a campground for a retreat, here are some fun ideas on how to gather your group at the campfire:

  1. Play a game, this will help bring cohesiveness to the group and is also a fun activity that is generally unrelated to the topic of the retreat weekend. 10 Games To Play Around a Campfire
  2. Sing a song, a complete list from A-Z of campfire songs is offered Here
  3. Tell a scary ghost story to your group. If you have an older crowd this is a good idea, but if it is a younger group, stick with the above two campfire ideas! Scary Story Ideas

Grab a log, a bag of marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers and enjoy the campfire. This is surely going to be a great evening at your retreat.
