Retreat Central was born in a Prius. Two like-minded, ambitious hospitality professionals
were on a road trip scouting competition for their employer, Garrett Creek Ranch
Executive Conference Center, when a phone call came from a prominent summer camp
asking, "How do we increase our off season revenue, who should we call, how
do we market ourselves, can you...HELP!?"
Debra Williams and Jaynie Schultz, founders
of Retreat Central, quickly realized that the combination of their sales and marketing
skills with a passion for summer camp could be a successful business model. A year's
worth of market research proved the idea, and Retreat Central was created.
The concept is simple. We enhance the retreat revenue of camps by helping groups
find affordable meeting locations across North America.
As the last camper drives away at the end of the summer, camp staffs are often left
with these burning questions:
- How do we build our retreat business?
- How do we transform the camp to a retreat center?
- How do we market to different types of groups?
- How do we train our staff?
- How do we deepen relationships with our client base?
If you have ever asked the same questions, you are not alone. It is estimated that
the target market for these retreats is over $90 billion annually. Retreat Central
is here to help camps garner their share of that revenue.
Retreat Central supports the sales and marketing efforts of camps on a commission
basis, so out-of-pocket costs to camps is minimized. Camp Services
We all know that the search for an ideal place to accomplish meeting goals can be
